Writing Invitation (5 minutes)

  • What is web presence?
    • What does web presence mean to you personally?
    • As a teacher?
    • As a Teacher Consultant?
    • For your writing project site?
    • Or maybe, what ISN'T web presence?
Karen--WP helps to Advocate for ourselves
We think we have to have all the answers. WP isn't jumping from one thing to the next.
Chris RCWP--More than just having a website.
Monica OWP--resources, groups, wiki, multimodal, blogging, posting online --NOT something we are doing
Barb EMWP--IM to communcate. Part of society-shop, communicate, not just a teaching tool or NWP, but even toilet paper and POMphones
Amanda CRWP--WP based on Wiki, but we don't go back to it. Doesn't serve a function as much as we'd like.
Nick EMWP--purposeful connection with virtual realms and actual nonsense. I can't find it. I don't want to find it.
Shannon CRWP--Digital Citizenship,
Branding - Bad versus good
Amanda LMWP--audience what is my intended choice? We almost forget that is is a "place" because we can't "go" there. What's the dance between the public image and the private image for the site?
Lavon CWP--Facebook look alike, public face for the good of the community, but need to be a member of the community to "do" anything, like the Elks lodge.
